Chatsworth Schools has won the award for Private School Operator of the Year at the 2021 Education Investor Awards.

The award ceremony, which was held at Royal Lancaster London, aims to celebrate outstanding innovation and excellence in the business of education in the UK.

Anita Gleave, founder and CEO of Chatsworth Schools, said: “I am beyond proud of the Chatsworth Schools family for this award and for everything we have achieved since our launch in September 2018.

“We are an innovative, creative, dynamic and most importantly child-centred and learner led group of schools and I am delighted this has been recognised by the Education Investor Awards.”

Chatsworth Schools is made up of 14 nurseries and schools in central and south England. The schools pride themselves on a high standard of education, committing to excellence and fostering an outstanding learning environment.

Over the past 12 months, they have announced their best year six results at The Village Prep School, were ranked 14th nationally in the Sunday Times Top Independent School league table for Benedict House Preparatory School, and appointed headteacher Sarah Hobby as the first graduate of the Chatsworth Schools Leadership Training Programme.

Chatsworth, which added two schools from the Riverston Group to their portfolio earlier this year, put an emphasis on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) – a focus on staff skills and development, leading to a high-standard of education delivery and high levels of employee satisfaction.

They were shortlisted with three other school groups: Forfar Education, Kent College Canterbury and Orbital Education, before winning the award on 30 November.

Gleave added: “Chatsworth Schools is committed to enabling outstanding futures for all our children and for us this is not a tick box exercise but a constant journey of challenge and improvement. We look forward to continuing our work in the years ahead.”
