For me, starting 2020 strong is all about one phrase – you are not alone, or YANA. What if, as educationalists, you looked at different aspects of your pedagogy, school community and future-building through this new lens?
A lens that embraces human connection, ignites personal powerlines and starts conversation for change.
A lens that learns from the lessons of the last decade to inspire the next.
You don’t need a blockbuster budget to do it. All you need to do is add this perspective into your daily actions and leadership.
Showing members of your community that they are not alone costs nothing but time. Time to share advice. Time to open up a conversation and help another human. Time to perform an act of kindness.
Add YANA to your strategic planning for all areas of your educational community. Add YANA to every meeting agenda and keep this mindset alive in your community.
