Will Young to speak on LGBT issues at Festival of Education

Pop Idol winner and Wellington alumni to deliver keynote address on day one of Telegraph Festival of Education

Five thousand teachers and educationalists will gather at the largest-ever The Telegraph Festival of Education on 23-24 June, at Wellington College. One of the biggest events in the education calendar, over 250 speakers are now confirmed- including Will Young, who will speak in the Sir John Cass Foundation marquee at 3.30pm on 23 June. Will’s topic is ‘The importance of talking about feelings’, discussing LGBT in education and drawing on his own experiences.

The Telegraph Festival of Education will provide festival-goers with influential and inspirational speakers, workshops, CPD activities and unrivalled networking opportunities.

Other high profile speakers include Germaine Greer, speaking on equality; Sir Michael Wilshaw, who is delivering a keynote address; and Natasha Devon MBE, discussing how to support young people into adulthood.
