Carers were able to choose from a variety of pamper sessions, which included hairdressing, a manicure and a head and shoulder massage. There were also gardening demonstrations and scrapbooking workshops as well as a raffle with gifts donated from the school and local companies. The visitors were also treated to musical entertainment from the Burgess Hill School students. Local carers’ support agencies were also in place to offer information and advice to the visiting carers.
Mrs Laybourn, Deputy Head at Burgess Hill School for Girls, said: “Everyone left feeling relaxed having had a wonderful day. All of Year 9 were praised for the attention they gave to the Carer they supported.”
