Team GB’s success in the Olympics has undoubtedly helped to fuel the ambition of many young sports stars, but it is also the passion and expertise from school coaching teams that is turning talent into success. For example, Kyran Bracken reveals that he has joined St Albans’ coaching team on page 7 and he has high hopes for the school’s rugby teams. In our special report on page 11, Directors of Sport also explain how they keep pupils passionate about physical activity, and on page 16, Richard Stedeford discusses how the Olympic legacy is still alive in swimming.
