The Chairman of Governors of Dragon School, Professor Roger Ainsworth, has announced that Dragon governors have appointed Crispin Hyde-Dunn, currently Headmaster of Abingdon Preparatory School, to be the next Head of the Dragon.
Crispin Hyde-Dunn will take up the post in September 2017 when John Baugh steps down after 15 years’ inspirational leadership.
Roger said: “As governors, we are excited that we have found someone who understands the make-up and inheritance of the Dragon, and at the same time will take us forward to the next stage of our journey with imagination, energy, enthusiasm and commitment.”
Crispin added: “It is a great privilege to be invited to become the next Head of the Dragon. The school is world renowned with a distinguished history and one which enjoys a unique quality and vibrancy among its pupils, parents and staff. I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead such a distinctive and talented school community, building upon its tremendous successes, as well as continuing to evolve the school, as we anticipate the changing needs in the years ahead.”
