Students at the historic Charterhouse independent boarding school in Surrey have benefitted from a new fitness equipment installation in the gym.
The 165 sq m gym, part of the Charterhouse Club, is used extensively by students and staff, as well as having a public membership of around 2,000. The gym was in need of new equipment and now showcases state-of-the-art Precor cardiovascular machines and a range of Discovery Series strength stations.
The school aims to effectively use the Preva equipment by building it into every pupil and member experience, as well as by incorporating it into an educational programme for the students to promote the benefits of exercise and healthy living.
Tim Ostle, Commercial Director at Charterhouse, comments: “The facilities provided by the Charterhouse Club play a significant role in creating a lifelong passion for sport, activity and wellbeing for its pupils. The club is also at the heart of sport and leisure provision in the local community and we wanted to build a long-term relationship with a partner that would help us develop the offering and not just supply us with great equipment.”
