The Point2Protect product is a simple and secure app that allows children to make the best use of the internet whilst having a safe, responsible online experience. It also enables parents and teachers to view and better understand how devices are being used by children, both inside and outside the school gates.
A wide range of features mean that teachers and parents can manage the use of children’s devices appropriately and effectively. Age-related content filtering and intelligent scheduling rules can be applied with Point2Protect, no matter which network a device is connecting from. Detailed guidance and templates created exclusively for the service by the UK Safer Internet Centre are also included in an annual subscription for just £7 per device.
As part of the release of Point2Protect, Mouchel is supporting Barnardo’s, the charity that helps to protect vulnerable children, by making a donation to help them promote e-Safety. Barnardo’s actively offer practical guidance in this area and have recently released a paper entitled “Youth And The Internet: a guide for policy makers”.
Tim Slorick, Procurement Development Director, Mouchel Business Services, said: “Children now grow up with the internet as part of their lives. It’s important that parents and teachers are confident that children are protected online in order to safely use the internet as a valuable learning resource. We are passionate about helping teachers and parents educate children to make good decisions online, and Point2Protect can play an important part.”
Javed Khan, Chief Executive of Barnardo’s, said: “Mouchel are one of our longest serving supporters and we are incredibly grateful that they have chosen to support us again on this initiative.”
