Michael, from Bavaria and a boarder at Loretto School, shot seven under par in the Under 18 category of the German National Championship at Schloss Wilkendorf Golf Club in Altlandsberg and achieved rounds of 71, 69 and 69.
The golfer commented: “I am incredibly proud that I was able to win this competition. Max [opponent, Maximilian Bögel] applied so much pressure. I am delighted!”
Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs at Loretto School, added: “This is a tremendous achievement by Michael. He is an exceptional golfer and we are very proud of him.”
