Ewell Castle launches cricket academy

Ewell Castle School offers scholarships for new academy which combines intensive cricket training with an academic education

Following on from the success of its tennis academy, Ewell Castle is launching a new cricket academy, which has been designed to allow boys and girls to combine intensive cricket training and academic education within an integrated curriculum with the aim of developing cricket talent.

Pupils will be full members of the school community and follow the core subjects, but will have the flexibility to tailor their studies around their cricket training.

The school boasts a picturesque cricket ground, indoor and outdoor nets and a large sports hall with fitness facilities and a classroom dedicated to performance analysis.

The cricket academy will be managed by ex-Sussex pro Neil Turk. The programme will include one-to-one professional coaching and video analysis of performance. Pupils who are awarded a place on the cricket academy will train and play for Ewell Castle School as well as for their club and district or county teams.
