The event was held at Derby Cathedral and included performances from three GCSE music soloists in Year 10, Caroline Whittingham, Laura-Rose Gee and Kathryn Monteiro.
An 85-strong choir and a 30-piece also performed Mozart’s Requiem.
Ed Temple, the Director of Music at Derby High School, said: “It was a very special evening. After nearly a year of planning, everything came together perfectly on the day. I couldn’t have asked more of the dedicated choir, who have learned this magnificent piece in just eight rehearsals.
“The orchestra sounded fabulous, as did the Year 10 soloists in the first half. It was a privilege to be conducting and having such a large audience in the cathedral really made all the hard work worthwhile. I was very proud of every single performer at the end of the evening.”
