Bablake School sixth former selected to represent GB juniors at international wheelchair basketball tournament

A sixth form student at Bablake School,, Peter Cusack (England Central Wheelchair Team) was recently selected to represent the GB Junior Men at the 8th Fazza International Wheelchair Basketball Tournament in Dubai, UAE.

Peter was selected as the youngest member of the team and was one of seven players making their international debuts. The call-up also offered him the opportunity to challenge for selection for next year's World Championship. 

Asked about his selection, Peter commented: "I was really surprised to be selected, especially as the youngest member of the squad. It is a great honour and I am really looking forward to the tournament. My dream is to make the 2020 Paralympics, so my experience in Dubai and hopefully beyond this tournament will be the best possible preparation for achieving my goal." 

Matches from the tournament will be streamed live at Dubai Sports TV and also via the Dubai Club for the Disabled (DCD) YouTube channel.
