Mr Stephen Oliver has been appointed Principal of Our Lady’s Abingdon (OLA), with effect from 1September 2012.
Mr Oliver, who is currently Deputy Head of St Benedict’s Ealing, will succeed Mrs Lynne Renwick, who is returning to the North East at the end of the academic year in August to take up the role of Head at Durham High School.
Mr Oliver was educated at the Universities of Birmingham, Cambridge and St Andrews and has taught at Stonyhurst, The Royal Grammar School Guildford, Uppingham and Haberdashers’ Aske’s School.He is married to Caroline and they have three young children.
Edward McCabe, OLA’s Chairman of Governors, said:“I am delighted that Stephen Oliver is joining as Principal and I am sure that he will build upon the great success of the School during the tenure of Lynne Renwick as Principal.”
Stephen Oliver said: “I am very much looking forward to taking on this exciting role at OLA in September and to meeting pupils, staff, parents and prospective parents in the meantime.”
Lynne Renwick said: “I am delighted that I will be handing over responsibility for the leadership of OLA to such a capable successor.”
