Leweston is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr James Savile as the new Head of Leweston Preparatory School with effect from 23 April 2012.

James Savile is currently Deputy Head of Gordonstoun Junior School, a leading Prep School in Scotland, and has extensive experience of working in co-educational preparatory schools.  Before moving to Gordonstoun he was Head of Modern Languages and Religious Studies and Head of Boarding at Sherborne Preparatory School. He will now look to develop Leweston Prep School with energy and purpose in the years ahead. 

James comments “I am thrilled to have been appointed Head of Leweston Prep School. This is an exciting time to be joining Leweston and I look forward to building on the exceptional opportunities the girls and boys enjoy. Leweston Prep has a strong spiritual and pastoral ethos where children are happy and supported at all times by a committed and talented staff.  It is my hope that the children at Leweston Prep will show themselves to be effective, enthusiastic and confident life-long learners with a real passion for their own education.”

Andrew May, Chairman of the Governors comments “I am delighted that James will be joining us in this role, so fundamental to the future direction and development of the school.  I have no doubt that the wealth of skills and attributes that James has acquired throughout his career will ensure that Leweston Prepgoes from strength to strengthunder his leadership.”

James, who is a Catholic, is married with two young children and will live at Leweston. He will take up the post of Head at Leweston Prep at the start of the summer term 2012.
